In the midst of a busy summer, Max and I met in Greece — he flew from Scotland, I from the US — to spend two weeks with our (hilarious, charming, brilliant) friend Tony. After landing in Athens, we went to Ikaria, the island where Tony’s family is from.
On the island, we started every day by walking to the square to get coffee and spanakopita. The whole trip was a whirlwind of beach days and good food: grilled fish, pastries, salty feta, olives, and lots (and lots) of wine.
