Planning engagement sessions with my clients is one of my favorite things to do. Especially when I get couples who trust me and my vision, and who are ready to have a fantastic time together! I want you to be as stress-free as possible when planning your session, so that you can truly focus on living in the moment. In order to help with that, I wanted to put together a list of the best Boston engagement photo locations. Read on to start planning your dream engagement session in Boston!
Beacon Hill is by far one of the most picturesque neighborhoods in Boston. I shot Tracy & Akwell’s session here, and we loved the way the photos turned out. With the buildings’ brick facades, charming cobbled lanes, and antique street lamps, Beacon Hill is definitely one of the best Boston engagement photo locations. The Public Garden is also just around the corner, so you can have the best of both worlds getting shots in the city and the park!
Another one of my go-to locations for my couples, South End is a staple neighborhood in Boston. There’s no shortage of Victorian brownstone buildings that give you a classic Boston feel. We had Kate & Joseph’s engagement session in South End, and you can see we were able to take advantage of the neighborhood’s charm as a backdrop for their photos!
Moving farther from the more urban locations mentioned above, the Arnold Arboretum is the perfect spot for an autumn engagement shoot. The arboretum is actually located in Jamaica Plain just south of the city, and is one of Greater Boston’s most beautiful nature parks. Trust me, the leaves in the fall look like they’re straight out of a movie scene. DeeDee & Emily’s session here was absolute perfection, and I can’t wait to go back!
When couples want views of the coast for their session, I always recommend somewhere along the North Shore. The beaches are the perfect spot for photos and there’s so many different ones to choose from. The rocky coastline and natural harbors are truly the best that New England has to offer. Elle and Graham had the beachy engagement session of their dreams here. Just from the photos alone, you can tell why it’s one of the best Boston engagement photo locations!
Do you want your engagement session to be a little more personal to you and your partner? I’m always ready to shoot at a location that’s meaningful to you. It could be the cafe where you two met, the restaurant you had your first date, or anything between.
I would happily tag along and document your love story. To get in touch with me, you can fill out my contact form and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. If you’re looking for some more engagement photo inspiration, you can check out Nina & Oliver’s engagement session in Groton, MA!
