Amanda & Brenna’s Scotland Fields wedding in York, Maine was such an honor to shoot! Everything came together so perfectly for their day. They’ve been together for thirteen years, so finally being able to celebrate their love together with their closest friends and family was quite the event.
One of my favorite aspects of A & M’s Maine wedding was that they DIY’d pretty much all of their decor. Can you believe that? Amanda is an artist and a metalworker, so she was able to build things herself — from the ceremony hexagon, to even the bar itself. And Brenna spearheaded the other design elements! This included creating a “muted rainbow” color scheme with colored glasses, vases, napkins, etc. It was beyond perfect.
From the moment they inquired with me, they welcomed me into their personal life and treated me like a friend. With all my couples, I strive to be so much more than just a photographer. Once I started getting to know A & M, I was blown away by how palpable the love between them was. But even more so, I was amazed at how much they give back to other people, back to their community. They’re two of the most genuine, generous souls that I have ever met, and it was such an honor to capture all the best moments on their day!
