I was so excited to shoot Harriet & Rowan’s Vermont backyard wedding! H & M actually got married last year, but postponed their celebration until now. I have a special place in my heart for couples who had to wait to celebrate with their friends and family because of COVID. But man, was this celebration worth it.
Harriet & Rowan are genuinely one of the sweetest couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Rarely have I seen a couple so in love — so full of joy and compassion, so steadfast in their affection — as these two. They originally hired me back in 2019, so it was such a privilege to finally document memories with these two. They’re both hilarious and kind, and just all around great people to spend a day with.
Funny story about how these two met – they both attended the same college in Vermont (the same college I went to!). Harriet could have sworn she was seeing Rowan twice as much as everyone else because of how cute she thought he was. Turns out, Rowan’s identical twin brother was also attending the same college!
They ended up getting married at Harriet’s childhood home (how sweet?!) for their Vermont backyard wedding. And guess what? They DIY’d almost everything, which added such a personal and intimate touch to their day! Everything came out beautifully and exactly how H & R imagined it would be.
