What’s better than an elegant, Maine wedding? The fact that it was on a farm, and on a weekday! Benita & Cam decided to get married on a Tuesday afternoon and let me tell you, I can’t wait to shoot more midweek weddings in the future.
Originally, B & M were supposed to get married in Hungary, which is obviously a little far from Maine. After cancelling that and waiting an extra year, the happy couple were finally able to tie the knot, just a little closer to home than originally planned! These two are proof that no matter what happens to your plans, the most important thing is that you get to marry the person you love most in the world.
The best thing about this wedding was that the love and joy was palpable the entire time. At the end of the day, I’m a wedding photographer because I love being around people who are filled with joy. And Benita & Cam’s wedding was exactly that – being around so much positivity all day.
Benita + Cam’s Backstory
B & M grew up in the same city in Connecticut, and even attended the same high school together. Funnily enough, they never spoke or even crossed paths during that time! It wasn’t until they formally met through a mutual friend in NYC that their romance started. That very same night, they got to chatting and eventually exchanged numbers. A week after that, they were going on pizza dates (as just friends!) and steadily deepened their friendship from then on. After three months of getting to know each other, they officially started dating and couldn’t get enough of each other ever since.
Three years later on a trip to visit Benita’s family in Hungary, Cam popped the question. Now here they are, 10 years from when they originally met, having the Maine wedding of their dreams. And it was such a privilege to document it!
