Gloria and Dennis’s engagement photos in the west village were so quintessential New York. They basically feel like a scene out of a rom-com. The only thing that made it better was that we captured their love on super 8 video, too. The best combo, imo!
Our West Village Meet-cute
Back in January, Max and I were shooting in NYC and we walked into West Village Flower to grab a bouquet with our clients. While we were inside, we started chatting with the woman behind the counter. She told me she’d recently gotten engaged and loved the vibe of our film and super 8 combo. We followed each other on instagram and then continued on with our shoot. I didn’t think much of it until, a few weeks later, I got an email from Gloria & Dennis!!
Next thing we knew, Max and I were planning another trip to NYC to capture Gloria and Dennis’s engagement photos in the West Village on film and super 8.
Engagement Photos in the West Village
After our meet-cute in the winter, Max and I finally got to meet them properly on a warm June day back in the same neighborhood. We had the best time getting to know Gloria and Dennis as we wandered around the west village in the summer heat. The charming village bars and cafes, old narrow streets and colorful brownstones are truly the perfect backdrop. The essence of this neighborhood gives your engagement photos a timeless yet nostalgic feel at the same time. It felt the most genuine spot to document a love story.
Super 8 Video Add On
One thing we’ve been seeing our clients request a lot lately is the addition of super 8 video to their engagement sessions! Gloria and Dennis added our super 8 coverage and it turned out to be so special. Now they have a video that’s such a beautiful compliment to their engagement photos in the west village.
