Recently Max and I traveled to San Fransisco to shoot Steph & Cole’s Mt. Tamalpais engagement photos on film. Our time together was made all the more special because they took us back to the same spot where they got engaged.
Mt. Tamalpais Engagement Photos on Film
Steph and Cole’s session was so memorable, I’m still losing my mind over their Mt. Tamalpais engagement photos. The setting, the misty weather and the energy these two brought to their session was everything and more. I suppose there are few things better than returning to the place you got engaged to document your newest chapter as fiances. Not to mention, Mt. Tamalpais State Park is a pretty idyllic spot for an engagement session. Just north of San Fransisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, the park features deep canyons, redwood forests, open grasslands and breathtaking views over Marin County.
Revisiting the spot where Cole popped the question, running around in the haze and wandering around the sweeping hillsides. The scenery made me feel like I was transported back to Scotland. The foggy vistas, green-covered paths and rolling hills are the dreamiest backdrop for engagement photos, especially on film!
So, it’s no secret how thrilled I was to capture this session for Steph & Cole entirely on film. Developing these film photos on my own was also such an exciting part of the process. Seeing the colors come through as I developed each photo was so cool to see. I mean, did you see the shades of green on these photos?! Simply divine. For a behind the scenes look at how I develop film photos at home, watch this video to learn more about my process. After their engagement session, we went back to the city for fish tacos and beer. It was a perfect afternoon to say the least!
