I'm Hope, but you can call me Hopie.

I'm a Boston-based wedding photographer, documenting love in the US, the UK, and beyond. I will always encourage my couples to celebrate their relationship in a way that feels meaningful and authentic to them. No wedding is too big or too small — from 2 guests to 200, I truly love capturing all kinds of celebrations.
When it comes to photography, my style is soulful, natural, creative, and warm. I shoot on a mix of digital and film formats, and develop and scan all the film in my home. I draw endless inspiration from the love between people; from Scandi minimalism and '70s earth tones; from fresh air and October sunlight, foggy days and windswept hills. Above all, I feel most creative in new places with new people.
I wear a lot of turtlenecks. I speak French. I think a BLT is the perfect sandwich. I’ll always say yes to going dancing.
Also, I love Love.
nice to meet you

a glimpse into my own intimate backyard wedding

tradition without formality
I married the love of my life in 2021, barefoot in the backyard of my childhood home on Cape Cod. We had a tiny ceremony with only our immediate families and a few friends; we said “I do,” threw confetti, ate oysters, and dove in the sea. It was absolutely perfect.
The following spring, we had a blow-out dance party reception in my husband's hometown in Scotland. Our tiny wedding in September was beyond wonderful, but finally reuniting and celebrating with all our people — from the US and the UK — was a gift and a dream come true.
All of this to say: you can celebrate your marriage however you want. I encourage you to be as creative and imaginative as possible — there are so many possibilities and opportunities, and absolutely no rules.
